Review of DHB's finances

The Southern District Health Board will be grilled by Parliament's Health Select Committee tomorrow morning about financial matters.

Instead of travelling to Wellington, district health board staff will take part in the financial review via video-link from Invercargill.

Staff are likely to face questions about the mystery clinician paid $820,000 to $830,000 in 2010-11, of whom Labour health spokeswoman Maryan Street has indicated she would inquire.

The review will take at least an hour.

New chief executive Carole Heatly, deputy chief executive Lexie O'Shea, funding and finance general manager Robert Mackway-Jones, and board member Malcolm Macpherson are taking part from the district health board.
