The Fire Service was kept busy in North Dunedin last night by a series of couch fires.
Firefighters, police and Campus Watch attended fires in Castle St, George St, Queen St, and Hyde St from about 8pm and a rubbish fire in Albany St about 9.30pm.
Acting Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield said he was disappointed students had "chosen to end the year in this way".
No arrests were made, but inquiries were continuing and information from the public would be welcomed.
