Installing the weathered steel roof on an information kiosk
in Aramoana yesterday are Rod Densen (left) and Geoff
McClelland.
Aramoana resident Mike McClelland said the project was
expected to be completed next week but they were waiting for
the middle panel to be finished.
The panel would include history of Aramoana and pictures of
local wildlife, he said.
Salvaged Australian hardwood bridge beams from the Aramoana
mole supported the roof, Mr McClelland said.
The kiosk cost about $2000 and was financed from community
grants, he said.
