The cruise ship Sea Princess is scheduled to berth in Port Chalmers this morning.
The vessel, with 1950 passengers and 950 crew, is expected to arrive at Beach St wharf at 7.15am from Milford Sound.
It will leave for Akaroa at 6pm.
