A man riding a motor scooter with two passengers was one of
three people processed for drink-driving at the weekend.
Senior Sergeant Bruce Ross said police noticed the trio
riding a scooter along School Rd, Mosgiel, at 5.50am on
Sunday.
The driver was processed for drink-driving and elected to
have a blood sample taken after an initial breath test showed
he had exceeded the legal limit, Snr Sgt Ross said.
A few hours earlier, at 3am, police found a woman allegedly
asleep behind the steering wheel of a vehicle in Great King
St.
She recorded a breath-alcohol level of 822mcg, Snr Sgt Ross
said.
At 11.40pm on Sunday, a male driver was processed for
drink-driving and elected to have a blood sample taken.
Charges would depend on the results of blood tests.
