Contractors work to finish the new New Zealand PostShop in
Moray Pl, in Dunedin, in time for opening on Monday. Photo

While the new New Zealand PostShop on Moray Pl looks far
from finished, assurances have been given it will be open for
business at 8.30am on Monday.
New Zealand Post will move its operations from its current
location at 233 Moray Pl to 310 Moray Pl, which was at one
time occupied by Colortronics Dunedin.
The move was necessary because the premises opposite the
Dunedin Town Hall did not meet the New Zealand Post's seismic
code, which was higher than the code adopted by the Dunedin
City Council.
Despite the new premises still appearing under construction,
a New Zealand Post spokesman said yesterday it would be ready
for business when the doors opened on Monday.
All staff will transfer to the new shop, which will offer the
same products and services.
The old location at 233 Moray Pl will close at 2pm today.
