Knox College earthquake strengthening and extension
project manager Sam Cadden, of Arrow International, inspects
some old doors which have been converted into a wall in an
effort to preserve part of the building's history.
The $11.3 million project was ahead of schedule and, all
going to plan, would be finished a week before students
returned on February 16, he said.
Getting the work done in such a short time was down to ''high
morale'' on site and dedication from contractors. A focus of
the project - which started in November - had been to
maintain as much of the building's history as possible.
