New Zealand BMX Olympian Sarah Walker will be in Dunedin this
weekend for the Bike Wise Fun Day, at Forrester Park, which
starts at 11am on Sunday.
The event has been organised for Bike Wise Month, which the
New Zealand Transport Agency promotes each February in an
effort to encourage people to take up cycling.
The fun day comprises cycle skills, bike fix-ups and spot
prizes, as well as the chance to meet Ms Walker and take part
in BMX events.
On Saturday, a three-dimensional cycling DVD will be launched
in the Wall St Mall at 11am.
The DVD has been produced by Dunedin police in collaboration
with NHNZ having the focus of keeping cyclists safe.
