Discussing arrangements for the 61st Interflora Pacific
Unit conference at the Southern Cross Hotel yesterday are (from
left) New Zealand Interflora president Margaret Beck, of
Tauranga, Waimui Woo, of Hong Kong, and John Gwee, of
Singapore. More than 60 national and international Interflora
members are attending the gathering, Mrs Beck said.
''The conference includes business sessions, floral
demonstrations and information to help members improve their
businesses. The biggest change in the floral industry is more
people are going online now, so we've been moving in that
direction.''
The conference continues today before the Interflora Cup
tonight, in which designers have to construct a floral
centrepiece from a mystery box of flowers.
