About 350 primary school
teachers picket on Portsmouth Dr following a New Zealand
Educational Institute union meeting at the Edgar Centre, in
Dunedin, yesterday.
The meeting was to discuss the primary teachers' collective
agreement, Novopay issues and the Government's Global
Education Reform Movement.
The results of a technical audit of the flawed Novopay
payroll system will probably be released today.
The review, by consultancy firm Deloitte, to be released by
Minister in Charge of Novopay Steven Joyce, will outline
whether the system can be fixed or whether it should be
ditched.
A name, residential address, and (preferably residential) telephone number is required from readers who comment on ODT Online. These details will not be visible to site visitors.
