Interactive exhibit being planned

Otago Museum staff will use interactive screens as part of the first exhibition planned for the former Dunedin North post office, which is being redeveloped as a museum annexe.

A recent museum report noted that 13 touch screens had been bought for the museum's ''Otago Wildlife Photography'' exhibition, and screens would also be used for the ''Heritage Lost and Found: Our Changing Cityscape'' show, planned for the former post office later this year.

Organisers had been developing a screen-based interactive exhibit that provided easy-to-understand definitions of architectural terms being used in the exhibition, which will be illustrated with images of historic Dunedin buildings. The show is being developed in association with the Historic Places Trust.
