Information issue

The Dunedin City Council has committed to keeping the Otago Peninsula Community Board better informed after the board expressed concern it was not told about a consent application.

Board chairman John Bellamy said it raised the issue after not being told by the council about a subdivision development.

The board was not opposed to the subdivision, but felt it should be advised about what went on in its area, Mr Bellamy said.

Council resource consents manager Alan Worthington attended the board's latest meeting and, as a response to the issue being raised, the council would now regularly provide the board chairman with a list of consent applications.
