Dunedin police want to speak to a Good Samaritan in
camouflage trousers who helped an injured taxi driver.
The dazed driver was found lying on the footpath in Halfway
Bush with a cut head about 9pm on Saturday.
Police believe the 54-year-old was possibly assaulted after
picking up two young men around 8.45pm on Saturday night in
the Octagon outside the Night n Day.
The driver has no memory of what led to his injury.
But police hope a member of the public who stopped to help
may be able to assist them.
The man was wearing army-style camouflage trousers and
appeared to be in his 30s.
