Dunedin artist Daniel Mead is nearly finished his mural
at the top of Baldwin St which will be a representation of the
world's steepest street with the Jaffa race taking place.
It will also include native birds found at the Orokonui
Ecosanctuary and a painted scroll with statistics about the
Mr Mead was commissioned to paint the mural by Keep Dunedin
Beautiful. He consulted community groups, schools and
tertiary students living in Northeast Valley to get their
ideas for the design, which is expected to be completed next
Thursday in time for the ANZA Challenge up the street.
