Mosgiel families with children under the age of 5 are
being sought this month for their opinions.
At least 90 families will get to fill in a quick
questionnaire about family activities, the services they use
and what they would like to have provided in the future.
Take 3 Streets Survey project worker Miriam Graham is
carrying out the survey on behalf of the Methodist Mission,
which gained a grant for the work from
Skip (Strategies with Kids/ Information for Parents), a
Ministry of Social Development department.
She said she was knocking on doors and spending time at
supermarkets and The Warehouse in Mosgiel to catch families
when they were out and about.
''We are trying to get a cross-section of the community.''
She wanted to hear what people liked and what they thought
She said several communities had applied for the grant but
Mosgiel was chosen.
The survey results would go back to the Methodist Mission and
could determine what family activities and services were
ultimately provided in Mosgiel, Ms Graham said.
Questionnaire forms are also available at the kid's zone in
the Mosgiel Library.
