Anglican Family Care and St Luke's on the Taieri Church are
holding a school holiday parents' survival group.
The group was aimed at parents, caregivers and grandparents
who cared for children in the school holidays, Anglican Care
parenting programmes co-ordinator Rebecca Lovett said.
''School holidays can be a very stressful time for families,
particularly if they have a limited budget.
"So the purpose of the group is to look at ways in which
families can plan for the holidays to make them as
stress-free and enjoyable as possible.''
The group looked at subjects such as spending time together,
free and low-cost activities, how to plan activities, tips to
support parents during the holidays and self-care techniques
The first session was held last Thursday at St Luke's on the
Taieri Church and the second session will be held at the same
