A 70-year-old Hindon woman spent hours trapped underneath a ride-on lawn mower after an accident on Saturday.
The woman was mowing her lawns some time after 5pm on Saturday when the accident occurred, Constable Lachy Macdonald, of Mosgiel, said yesterday.
She was discovered by a family member about 11pm, trapped beneath the mower, and taken to Dunedin Hospital by ambulance, he said.
Information on the woman's condition was unavailable.
