The victims of recent separate accidents in Dunedin remain in serious condition in hospital.
A 23-year-old Dunedin man was taken to hospital after he crashed a Honda CRF400 motocross bike at the corner of Argyle St and Elgin Rd in Mornington early on Thursday.
Vrushali Savant (25), who is in her final year of medical study at the University of Otago, was hit by a petrol tanker on the corner of Frederick and Castle Sts, where she was walking on Friday morning.
Both are in a serious condition in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Police are continuing to investigate.
