Dunedin motorists have been advised to expect delays on Pine Hill Rd from tomorrow until at least Wednesday, as work begins on replacing the road surface, the NZ Transport Agency said yesterday.
The work will be carried out from 6pm to 7am, along 276m of State Highway 1, from the George St overbridge to just south of the Great King St intersection, and along Great King St for about 50m.
NZTA Otago manager John Jarvis said the asphalt had reached the end of its life at the southern end, while the northern end was displaying cracks needing repair.
