Police are appealing for information after an alleged assault in the Dunedin Botanic Garden on Wednesday night.
Anyone who might have noticed a man acting suspiciously near the walking tracks beside Lovelock Ave, about 7pm, was urged to contact police.
Detective John MacDade said police were seeking a man described as Caucasian, aged 18-24, about 177cm, slim, clean-shaven and with long, blond scruffy hair.
He was described as wearing baggy clothing - believed to be scruffy denim shorts - and a dark beanie. He was carrying a black backpack and possibly a skateboard.
Police declined to comment on the nature of the assault.
