Once gate tallies are finalised, more than 1000 people are expected to have attended the ''Blueskin on Show'' annual event at Bland park in Waitati yesterday; a combination of the Blueskin A&P Society's show day, a car boot sale, annual harvest market and the Blueskin Community Market.

Blueskin A&P Society committee member Alisdair Morrison said numbers were up on a year ago, after the event was shifted to a Sunday, to avoid children's Saturday sport commitments.

''It was a brilliant day ... good weather throughout,'' he said. Gate donations and stall holder contributions go towards the park's overall upkeep, he said.
