Few changes to Anzac Day service

The Middlemarch Anzac Day service will be similar to past services, despite the Mosgiel Memorial RSA withdrawing its funding.

Strath Taieri Community Board chairman Barry Williams said the service was ''definitely'' on at 11.15am next Friday, despite the funding withdrawal.

''We are going alone and doing it ourselves.''

The board was putting on a bus to transport a pipe band from the Mosgiel dawn parade.

Mr Williams said the parade would be similar to past years and he expected about 300 people to attend.
