Emergency services staff place a
6-year-old boy into an ambulance after he was hit by a car
near Mosgiel yesterday.
Southern District Command Centre deployment co-ordinator
Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said it appeared the vehicle was
travelling along Wingatui Rd towards Factory Rd when the
child ran from a driveway.
Alcohol and speed were not factors in the incident, he said.
The boy was taken to Dunedin Hospital with minor injuries.
Police investigations are continuing, he said.
