Quarrying on board agenda

Quarrying on Saddle Hill will be discussed at a community board meeting tomorrow, chairman Scott Weatherall says.

''The [Saddle Hill] Community Board members have been contacted by concerned residents that there have possibly been diggers up and around the skyline doing some work.''

The Dunedin City Council was investigating the claims by comparing past photographs to reveal whether ''damage'' to the ridgeline had occurred, he said.

''We would like to see all quarrying stop up there,'' Mr Weatherall said.
