A rejigged Illuminate Paint Party is part of a diverse
reorientation line-up announced by Otago University Students'
''We're working on creating another great line-up for the
reorientation period that includes not just music events but
food, clubs and even features 1000 special student-priced
tickets for the English Premier League game,'' OUSA president
Ruby Sycamore-Smith said.
A highlight would be the popular Illuminate Paint Party,
which was back with a new layout.
It would now be alcohol-free, and safety matting would be put
down on Forsyth Barr Stadium's eastern slab where the event
is being held.
''The event is hugely popular and we believe that it will
once again be a massive event with students always ready for
a great night out in the paint.''
This comes after last year's paint party - which was attended
by 5000 people - was marred by intoxication and people
slipping over on the paint.
Other acts included international drum and bass producers The
Prototypes and the international food festival.
''With over 15 different stalls catering food from across the
globe, the Dunedin international food festival is one of the
most popular events OUSA runs.''
Tickets were available from OUSA's main office.
