Balclutha's Rosebank School pupils Sophie Sinclair (12, left) and Kobi Hammer (12), got the chance to brush up on their photography skills during a workshop for intermediate pupils at the Royal Albatross Centre on Otago Peninsula yesterday.

They were among a group of 27 pupils nominated from 14 schools to attend a two-day workshop where they were taught to photograph albatrosses and other wildlife.

Sally Carson, one of the organisers, said the children got some great pictures and learnt much about the environment in the process. They now have a week to practise their photography before the second day of the workshop on July 2.
