Mosgiel police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in the township.
The assault took place at a Kinmont Cres house about 7.30pm on Saturday, Sergeant Kevin Davidson, of Mosgiel, said.
Police arrested one person, while another connected with the incident remained at large, he said.
The victim was taken to Dunedin Hospital and discharged on Sunday morning, he said.
