Dunedin police are investigating after two separate burglaries in the city on the same night.
In the first incident, the garage of a home on Playfair St, Caversham, was entered sometime between 10pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday, Senior Sergeant Mark Crawford said.
A car parked inside the garage had a window smashed and was searched, although nothing was taken from inside the vehicle, he said.
In the second incident, which also occurred between 10pm on Tuesday and 7.30am on Wednesday, the sleepout of a Hislop St home was entered and a black stereo of unknown value taken, he said.
