Next year's iD Dunedin Fashion Week will be held in April, it
was announced yesterday.
Following a successful 15th fashion week this year, next
year's event will be held from April 19-26.
It would feature exhibitions, premier catwalk shows with
international guests and New Zealand designers, and the 11th
annual iD International Emerging Designer Awards.
iD Dunedin Fashion Week committee chairwoman Susie Staley
said the dates were chosen to fit with other international
fashion weeks, local events and the availability of venues.
''It's essential that we fit into the international fashion
calendar to secure our guest designer.
''We're moving forward into a new era for the event, which
aims to build on the success of the past 15 years and grow
our international partnerships,'' she said.
Many sponsors were reconfirming for 2015, including Ali Mcd
Make-up School, sponsored by Revlon, and Aart on St Andrew as
backstage hair and make-up, and Ali Mcd as the exclusive
modelling agency for the event.
Tickets would be available from late November.
