Autospectacular organising committee chairman Kevin Casey checks out a Mustang convertible at the Edgar Centre in Dunedin.

The exhibition, which is on today, features between 250 and 300 classic cars, with a special exhibition of Rolls-Royces, and celebrations of 100 years of the Dodge and 50 years of the Mustang brand.

Mr Casey said the event was the work of the Otago Classic Motoring Club and the Otago Falcon and Fairlane Club.

Thirty-one car clubs were involved in this year's version of an event that had been running since 1976.

Vehicles on display were from all over the South Island, he said.
