A 19-year-old Dunedin woman was struck by a car in the Pak'n Save car park, in South Dunedin, about 11.30pm on Friday, Southern District Command Centre deployment co-ordinator Senior Sergeant Craig Brown said.
He said it appeared the woman was injured during an altercation between two groups.
She was treated at Dunedin Hospital for moderate head injuries and bruising.
Police inquiries were continuing, he said.
