The driver of a modified car which crashed near Green Island causing the death of two siblings has been charged with manslaughter.
The Milton man faces two charges relating to the death of brother and sister Shannon (22) and Danielle (17) Kiriau and a further two charges of dangerous driving causing injury.
He was behind the wheel of his Honda Integra on May 18 when he lost control and crashed the car on the Southern Motorway.
Shannon (22) and Danielle (17) died at the scene, while Courtney Donald was seriously injured and Caitlin Adams received moderate injuries.
He is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court on 18 November.
