Cricket roadshow today

FANS will get the chance to have their photo taken with the Cricket World Cup trophy when a roadshow promoting next year's tournament arrives in Dunedin this morning.

The trophy, which will be piped into the Octagon at 6.40am, will be the centrepiece of a community event including cricket skills tests and a chance to meet former Black Caps and current stars including Otago's Suzie Bates.

The event runs from 6am-9am. Dunedin's University Oval will host three World Cup games starting with New Zealand v Scotland on February 17.
