Five arrested in Dunedin meth raids

Five people have been arrested after Dunedin police swooped on six addresses today, seizing drugs, drug paraphernalia and ammunition.

Detective Sergeant Dave Nelson said three men and two woman, ranging in age from 23 to 32, will appear at Dunedin District Court tomorrow and next Tuesday.

The will face charges including methamphetamine and cannabis possession, the possession of utensils for the use of methamphetamine, obstruction, dangerous driving and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Police say inquiries are continuing and further drug charges could be laid.
