Market general manager Kate Vercoe said vendors had decided to hold the extra market, which provided fresh produce for Christmas.
The market had been busy early, and ''steady and relaxed'' after that.
Trading this Christmas had been ''a whole lot better'' than last year, when bad weather had an effect.
