King Edward Court manager Roberta Coutts yesterday announced she was starting a ''reward purse'' in the hope it would get someone to dob in the culprits who repeatedly tagged a nearby Wilson's car park.
She put $100 into the ''purse'' and by yesterday afternoon had banked $300 more from three anonymous donors into a no-fees electronic bank account.
''I'm pretty happy. I've tripled my $100 in the first day.''
On top of that, Allied Press also planned to add $100 to the ''purse'', having been frustrated by the continual tagging of its historic store buildings in Cresswell St.
Allied Press operations director Ray Clarkson said tags had been painted over at least twice and the buildings had been tagged again.
''They're historic buildings with grey patches all over them and on top of that more graffiti.''
