Dunedin CIB are investigating the unexplained death of 19-year-old North Dunedin woman.
Police were tight-lipped about the woman's death but CIB and forensic staff were at the scene yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Ben Butterfield said police could not comment on whether the death was suspicious.
A scene examination was carried out yesterday.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
