Otago Boys' High School pupils form a guard of honour at the school's archway memorial, where (from left) deputy head boy Fraser Howie, head boy Scott Bezett and head of school house Jordan McEntee (all 17) prepare to lay wreaths as part of the school's Anzac ceremony yesterday.

The archway memorial was opened in 1923 to mark the school's diamond jubilee, and commemorates the 201 ex-pupils who fought and died on the battlefields of Gallipoli, Sinai and Palestine and the Western Front during World War 1.
