Police are investigating after a fire caused significant damage to a Dunedin house early this morning.
Firefighters were called to the Duncan Street house about 6.30am after a passerby saw flames.
The two-storied house was unoccupied at the time.
Considerable damage was caused to the ground level of the house, and the upper level sustained smoke and water damage.
