Policy change denied

The Dunedin City Council says there has been no change in policy despite the disappearance of staff names from a council report presented this week.

A report to the community and environment committee meeting, discussing the future of the Moller Park Memorial Arch, included the job titles - but not the names - of council staff signing off on the report.

Cr Lee Vandervis told the meeting he was ''not at all happy'' with the apparent change, as he liked to know which council staff were working on particular issues.

But, contacted after the meeting, council infrastructure and networks general manager Ruth Stokes said the absence of names was an oversight, and not a change in policy.

Other reports to the meeting included names, and future reports would continue to do so, she said.
