Thirty pairs of shoes and a bottle of hand sanitiser taken during smash-and-grab thefts from vehicles were among items stolen in Dunedin this week.
Police say there were two burglaries on Tuesday night.
Senior Sergeant Liz Waru, of Dunedin, said offenders targeted a Leith St residence being renovated, taking tools including a compressor, hammer drills, skill saws and drills stored by contractors working on the site.
A 15hp outboard motor was taken from a boat in a driveway in Easther Cres, Kew.
Thirty pairs of shoes stored in their boxes, Christmas decorations and craft items were taken from a locked car in Leith St, after a window was broken.
Police said the items were taken from a Toyota Rav 4.
The owner, from Christchurch, discovered the theft after returning to the car on Wednesday morning.
The property was worth $2000.
Senior Sergeant Brian Benn said police were keen to hear from anyone offered cheap shoes for sale.
Also on Tuesday night, the left rear window of a car in Heriot Row was smashed and a Bluetooth speaker and some hand sanitiser were taken.
