A police pursuit was abandoned in South Dunedin yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Brian Benn, of Dunedin, said officers were pursuing a green Mazda Familia, with several occupants, after the driver failed to stop in Oxford St about 5pm.
The pursuit was abandoned when the driver ignored a stop sign, he said.
Inquiries were continuing.
