The Dunedin City Council deposited 40cu m of sand at Macandrew Bay and 10cu m of sand at Broad Bay yesterday, as part of its annual rejuvenation of the beach areas.
Council parks officer Gordon Graham said sand was swept away by tidal movements in Otago Harbour during the year, so at the start of summer, it was replaced.
