Registrations are open for a disability water sports day in
Dunedin on February 27.
The event, at Brighton Beach, is hosted by the Halberg
Disability Sport Foundation and gives physically disabled New
Zealanders the chance to try surfing, boogie boarding,
kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.
The day runs from 10am to 1pm from the Brighton Surf Life
Halberg Disability Sport adviser Bridget Meyer said the
foundation was working with the Brighton Surf Life Saving
Club, Tokerau Beachboys, Paddleboard Dunedin, Red Paddle Co,
Esplanade Surf School and the South Coast Board Riders
Association to deliver the day.
