Signal Hill house fire 'suspicious'

Emergency services are investigating after a derelict house in Dunedin was destroyed in a blaze early this morning.

A Fire Service communications spokesman said crews from Willowbank, St Kilda, Dunedin City and Roslyn were called to the fire on Signal Hill Rd about 4am to find the house "well involved''.

Emergency services are treating the fire as suspicious.

A fire investigator was at the scene this morning.
