The show started with a video of a winged demon hatching from an egg and breathing fire to reveal the band's name.

The concert features three of the four founding members - singer Ozzy Osbourne, lead guitar Tony Iommi and bass guitarist Geezer Butler.

Tommy Clufetos fills in for original drummer Bill Ward.

The classic heavy metal had fans, a sea of black, stomping feet and shaking fists.

The Californian rock band Rival Sons opened the concert.

Senior Sergeant James Ure, of Dunedin, said several people were evicted from the concert due to being intoxicated.

"Generally it was a good crowd and no major issues were reported to police."

The concert promoters refused to release an official attendance numbers but the Otago Daily Times believes the crowd numbered more than 10,000.
