Stabbing in central Dunedin

A man was admitted to Dunedin Hospital following a stabbing in central Dunedin early this morning.

Police said the incident happened outside the "Bottle O" store on the corner of Princes Street and Moray Place about 3.30am.

The victim was admitted to hospital with wounds to the neck and back.

A large number of people were in the immediate area, outside the Brimstone nightclub at the time.
