Soul of the kitchen

Musicians Leo La Dell and son Oscar (17), also known as The Generators, entertain the crowd at the Otago Farmers Market Harvest Celebration in the Dunedin Railway Station car park on Saturday.

They were among several bands performing for the hundreds of people attending the event, which celebrated the abundance of local food in season.

As well as live music, there was bobbing for apples, face painting, treasure hunts, lessons on preserving seasonal fruit and vegetables, and an opportunity for people to make juice from their spare apples, using an apple press.
