Some Dunedin streets were left in darkness for a time this evening after lights failed to turn on in some areas.
Delta spokesman Gary Johnson said a signal to automatically turn on the street lights in South Dunedin - and nearby areas including Andersons Bay and on Otago Peninsula - failed to be sent and the streets remained in darkness.
Technicians repaired the fault and the lights were turned on at 6.45pm.
