Two treated after crashes

A woman was treated in the back of an ambulance after a crash in Dunedin early yesterday.

The car she was driving collided with clothing donation bins on Taieri Rd, near Helensburgh Rd, shortly before 7am .

● A man in his 60s was treated for minor injuries after his mobility scooter was hit by a motorist in South Dunedin yesterday.

Police and St John Ambulance staff were called to the intersection of Andersons Bay and Hillside Rds about 9.15am, following the incident.

A police spokeswoman said officers issued the motorist with a ticket for failing to give way.

A St John spokesman said the man had only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
